In 2023, I started giving courses at different organizations, schools, and to small business owners who want to learn more about starting an online presence for their work and brand. This course is called Social Media For Small Businesses 101 which is the foundation course. We cover important topics like which platforms to be present on and are relevant to your brand, how to concretely create short form and long form content, what tools and equipment you need, editing, how to publish content and much more.
My TikTok session with Preeti was eye-opening! I had been afraid to get into it thinking TikTok was more for teenagers doing dances but actually, it's going to really help my business. She gave specific examples for types of videos to do, different hooks to lead with, and helpful deep dives into each person's practice video. My videos have been consistently doing well since doing this course and I'm excited to keep creating! Thanks, Preeti!
TikTok has been super intimidating for me for a while. Her explanations of the platform and how it can be used really set the tone for the course and she built upon that throughout her teachings. Her energy and passion for this platform are contagious and after taking the course with Preeti I had the knowledge and the confidence to jump in with both fee.
My session with Preeti was somehow lifechanging and it’s only been a few weeks, but I can see an entire world opening in front of me. Preeti has been telling me to hop on TT for a while as she believed everyone has something to share with the world. I have been on social media for long and have had a TT account for over 1 year without daring to post anything as I felt I didn’t have the technical savviness or creativity I needed to fit on it. Preeti made sure we had the confidence to get started and gave us all the secrets of a strategy that she put into practice herself. She also took the time to listen to us individually to help us define our goals and guide us towards a practical implementation adapted to our profiles and desires. After following the TT session, I gave myself an objective to strictly follow her advice for a full month and see what would happen. A week later, I had already published quite a few videos and was beginning to understand how to refine my own style.A few days later, one of my videos got over 60K views in a few hours (now 120K and still counting) and it was with great excitement that I left a message for Preeti to inform her. I was hooked! She had already seen my post, congratulated me on the work and told me that the views would not stop there, and she was right! Since then, Preeti has been following our progress and regularly contacts me for guidance or to check up on me. I think the best advice she gave me was not to pay too much attention to the number of views. The excitement of looking for the number is as enjoyable as it can be destructive. She still helps me to refocus on the long-term business aspect and not just on the current trend bubble. For the first time in my life, I feel like I have found an activity that allows me to let my creativity run wild. I think that what I like most is to think that thanks to this network, my creativity is limitless and that TT's features allow me to play intuitively with a technique that was previously reserved for experts in video and sound. I still have doubts about my ability to create content over time, but Preeti is there to reassure me, advise me and guide me towards suitable solutions for me.
