Hi I'm Preeti. An American from Bay Area California living in Paris since 10 years. Harupi was inspired by my 5 years working for the Restaurant Management program at the world-renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Please note I was not working as a chef at this school. I was working in the corporate department of the Restaurant Management program.
During these formative years, I was able to work closely with an array of restaurants and learned about daily F&B operations, principles of good management, restaurant versatility & French gastronomy. From family owned establishments to Michelin star restaurants. The most rewarding part of the journey was assisting the students through the ups & downs of creating their own restaurant.
In 2013, I began my food and travel blog and Instagram page, Little Life Table (now Preeti Gills on social media)
as a way to document my favorite food establishments and travel adventures.
I quickly appreciated and social media’s potential and power to create a visual language as a priceless tool for the tourism and gastronomy industry and started working with different restaurants and brands as a content creator.
If you are reading this, you appreciate quality content and video production as much as me. I started Harupi (a combination of my mom and dads first names) , a creative food studio capturing the deliciousness that exists in our everyday lives.

Her whole life changed during the one year in college where she got a chance to study and live in Vaxjo, Sweden and then moved to Paris France to work at Le Cordon Bleu. Much of this was a happy accident. In a parallel universe, she lives in a small ocean coastal village somewhere in Mexico, eating tacos, tending to her garden & pottery while listening to old Hindi songs her parents played as kids
